First alpha release of XML3D

We are happy to announce the first public release of our XML3D system. It is the Alpha version of the Milestone 4 release and includes:

• The M4 specification
• Three implementations:
  • The RTFox implementation based on the Mozilla Framework
  • The implementation based on Chromium
  • A WebGL version (reduced functionality)
• Some example scenes (more to come)

Please remember. It is our first release and it’s still an alpha version. Anyway, if you experience any problems, we are happy to get your feedback, i.e. via the mailing list.
