In collaboration with the X3DOM Team, we contributed an article about our approaches to add interactive 3D graphics into HTML. The article explains advantages of declarative 3D in the DOM compared to API solutions such as WebGL and contains short tutorials on both systems. The XML3D Team and the X3DOM Team started a collaboration to find the optimal solution for the integration of 3D in the web browser.

Along with this article we prepared some simple XML3D demos. These demos require either one of our native XML3D implementations or a WebGL capable browser.

The article will be continued in the next issue of iX .
